Over
56 endorsements has come in from as many countries for the second edition of United
Nations Fashion Week and Awards, billed for October 2016.
The
Charity event which is geared toward raising fund for Global Children
Education is tagged ‘The Gulf Edition’ because of its venue, Dubai, United Arab
Emirates. Already, about 190 designers from more than 100 countries are warming
up for the event which is expected to provide fresh opportunities for
established and emerging designers and models.
“It’s good news for the event
and the team who have worked tirelessly to make it a success” Mr. Nwabueze
Buchi George, who is the president of the event said.
“October might seem far too
some people, but it is very close to us and we are doing everything possible to
see that we don’t go down on the huge expectation that is piling on our
shoulders.
“We already have 56 countries
endorsing the event and we are working towards more because we are leaving no
stone unturned for it” he continued.
Buchi George who is leading a
group of United Nations Ambassadors is optimistic Dubai will provide every
platform that will be needed for a world-class showdown and come October 20,
2016, the city will be a cluster of designers, models and other stake holders
of the industry for the event which will be lasting for three days.
