A technology company called DossPay has brought up a system to allow for escrow payment of items on Tonaton, Olx and any other free classifieds site.
HOW IT WORKS.
You get a Dosspay account and send an escrow payment of the price of the items you are buying to the seller.
The seller can see that an amount has been wired to his or her Dosspay account but cannot have access to the money. This ensures that the buyer is a potential buyer and not someone just wasting the seller’s time.
The Buyer does not also have access to the funds, the Dosspay system becomes the new owner of the funds serving as a facilitator for the purchase. The Buyer can only confirm the transaction once he has received the product and is satisfied.
The Seller can only reject the offer in case the trade is cancelled. If the Seller cancels the transaction, the money is reverted to the Buyer.
There is a Dosspay Dispute Resolution Center to settle the dispute in case any of the transacting parties raise a dispute claim.
