Ghanaian musicians have been
challenged to produce a group of the caliber of Osibisa to promote our
music globally. The Managing Director of the Graphic Group of Companies
Ken Ashigbey threw the challenge when new executives of the Musicians
Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the
Graphic Communications Group on Tuesday. He also advised musicians to
eliminate stuff from their works that debases our culture.

President is a sign of the confidence the members of the Union have in
him. He spoke about the umbilical cord that binds MUSIGA to the Graphic
Group in terms of how the Graphic Communications Group and MUSIGA have a
joint task of promoting Ghana music to levels that we can be proud of
and how Ghana music can compete favorably in the global arena. Ing.

in Ghana and will continue to assist the Union in developing our musical
identity as a nation. The Graphic Group MD assured the Union executives
of the group’s continued support for the Ghana Music Week Festival as
well as the MUSIGA Academy.
The Director of Newspapers at the Graphic Group Yaw Boadu
Ayeh-Boafo also applauded the MUSIGA Academy idea and the Ageing
Musicians Welfare Fund (AMWeF) set up by the Union to cater for the
older generation of musicians as well as the incapacitated.
On his part, the MUSIGA President thanked the MD and his team for
the huge support the Graphic Group has been offering the Union
describing the group as one of the top partners of MUSIGA. He reaffirmed
